The Property

Where the island meets the Atlantic.

The property lies in the south of Fuerteventura on the Jandía peninsula, in the municipality of Pájara. To the west it borders directly on the sea – one of the most unspoilt stretches of coastline in the Canary Islands.

Protected – and unique precisely because of it.

Since 2006 the property has been part of Natura 2000, the network of Europe’s most valuable protected areas – designated a Special Protection Area for birds (SPA, Spanish ZEPA). A landscape that stays as it is: wide, quiet and unspoilt.

    Acquisition of the property

    Notarial deed of purchase and division of 30 December 1972 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria; entered in the land register as registered plot no. 2,114 of Pájara.

  2. 1984

    Access secured

    Agreement on a right of way up to the property boundary; the company restores the access road at its own expense.

  3. 1987

    Right of way notarised

    Notarisation and registration of the right of way, around 6 km long, up to the Degollada de los Canarios.

  4. 2006

    Part of Natura 2000

    Included in the European network of protected areas as a Special Protection Area for birds (SPA, Spanish ZEPA).
